K-Syndrom Band

 INTRO

Because K-syndrom is an atypical project, we decided to open a special section called “In Bed With K-Syndrom”. In here you’ll find a lot of information, not only on K-Syndrom’s last news. But focus will be put on unusual things like our members side projects, or solo projects. Videos, Pictures, Articles. A lot of different stuff are coming. So stay tuned!! This is not our biography, if you want have more info on our project, take a look at our Biography and to the explanations on our album ‘True Love’. Let’s start by introducing you to the current band members!

 YUKIE

Yukie

Yukie, if she is playing bass for K-Syndrom, she is first a complete musician. She has numerous skills, composing electronic music as well as playing piano, keyboards, gamelan, accordion, bass … It’s simple, if she likes an instrument you can bet she will be able to play it few months later! To have an idea of her electronic personal project, check her MySpace!!. Yukie has joined K-Syndrom at the first stage of the band.

Yukie had a tough job thought, putting cool basses parts on tracks that already exists, but have no bass at all. The album was first an electronic only album. So she had to adapt herself. The result is giving a new breath to the album tracks, and makes K-Syndrom’s live quite unique compared to the Album! You have to experiences both!

Before that K-Syndrom was a solo project. At that time she joined us as bassist. As Fred is not a good ‘Japanese’ speaker, Yukie provided a huge help. Finding band members was a pain and the project stayed in a ‘solo project’ states for years. But as soon as she was in, K-Syndrom could finally reach more candidates by posting adds in ‘japanese languages only’ websites. This move quickly led the band to find Yamaoka.

YAMAOKA

Yamaoka

Yamaoka, K-Syndrom’s beloved drummer joined the project soon after Yukie. The band found him through a Japanese musician website called ‘With9′, if we are still searching the meaning of this name, this is a great tool to make contact with musician in Japan, so if you are like us, just drop a line there or ask a Japanese friend! Yamaoka is a former professional musician, and we can tell! He gave to the drums parts a brand new dimension, making them interesting and perfectly in line with the tracks.

His skills allowed him to be comfortable with the tracks in no time, and for him playing with a click track is a breeze! Yamaoka is definitely the drumer K-Syndrom was waiting for.

Yamaoka has few others projects, one of them is 2bojp, a double drums electronic projects! Yes, you read it well, 100% electronic music with 2 drummers! You can check their Myspace -> ’2bojp’. And here is a youtube video of them.
